Hedren Johnson

Hedren Johnson grew up in a small town in Georgia. Just how small was the town? Let’s just say it didn’t even have a traffic light or a 4-way stop intersection. Hedren views his upbringing in a small town, though, as one of the best gifts his parents gave him. It was a catalyst for his love of reading and the excitement of discovering new things to satisfy his own curiosity. Hedren excelled in school--graduating as his high school class valedictorian. Hedren attended an HBCU on a full academic scholarship where he graduated magna cum laude with a BS in Computer Science. During Hedren’s senior year in college, he received a job offer from Xerox Corporation, which he accepted and has been working in the Information Technology space with Xerox ever since. While working fulltime at Xerox, Hedren went to Emory University’s Candler School of Theology and graduated with his M.Div. degree. Hedren has always been active in the SDA church. Where more specifically, his favorite role has been serving as a Sabbath School small group leader. Hedren lives just outside of Atlanta, GA with his partner, Matthew and their two German Shepherds—Smith & Wesson.
